Job Description Summary :
As a Senior Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing presales and post sales technical/ functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. You provide support to sales representatives and partner on customer deals across the sales cycle by leveraging strong technical knowledge of our solutions. • Develop and deliver high quality presentations and product demonstrations. • Present and articulate advanced technical product features and benefits, product future direction and overall CC Tagetik solutions.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
Provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical and product presentations, demonstrations, and on-going sales consultation.
Serve as a technical and functional expert for solutions; bridge the gap between our products and our customers’ needs
Translate product/technical features into value drivers.
Respond to initial technical product requests in RFPs and pre-sales engagements and frame product issues for discussion and resolution with Product and Engineering teams.
Deliver Proofs of Concept by applying solution functionalities using client’s sample data
Develop, maintain, and deliver technical training to improve product technical knowledge of the Sales Engineering team.
Build working knowledge of competing products and how to technically sell against them.
Work with professional services team to analyze requirements and determine product implementation strategies
Develop/maintain technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends.
Job Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative field) with strong academic performance
At least 5 years of prior Sales/Systems Engineering, or Solution Architect experience with software in a SaaS/Cloud environment, selling to C/VP level buyers. Professional Services experience (desirable)
High energy, self-starter comfortable with ambiguity in entrepreneurial environments.
Technical background with hands-on software engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with Software Development Lifecycle.
Outstanding professional, sales, and technical capabilities;
Comfortable supporting enterprise sales teams on targeted accounts.
Ability to explain common technical aspects of full-stack Java and SaaS software, including security, protocols for APIs, SLAs, email/communication specifications, etc.
Ability to see and present 'the big picture', and architect technical solutions to solve customer problems.
Strong customer facing and relationship building skills.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
