SOSi is currently seeking an experienced GCCS Systems Administrator to join our team inStuttgart, Germany. The GCCS Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing System Administrator Support that shall perform standard system administration, including installation, configuration, operation, management, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, inspecting and maintaining server systems including administration of all core and functional service/system for GCCS or equivalent systems.
Installing, configuring, maintaining, software and affiliated systems.
Validate and test all server and workstation updates, patches, and upgrades prior to implementing on the network.
Support in analyzing and resolving problems associated with hardware, operating system, and application software.
Maintaining workstation / server operating system software such as: Windows and UNIX
Detecting, analyzing, and resolving problems associated with hardware, operating systems, and applications software.
Documenting System Administration procedures, instructions, changes and upgrades
Provide technical assistance of all assigned projects.
Support monitoring and analysis tools.
Managing user accounts for workstation / server access; work with the Information Assurance Manager (IAM) and Information Assurance Office (IAO) to ensure that proper paperwork is on-hand for the accounts.
Performing workstation/server configuration management and documentation.
Monitoring workstations/server logs for errors and failures and perform appropriate troubleshooting and maintenance.
Perform Configuration Management functions to include license management.
Participate in special projects as required.
An active in-scope TS/SCI clearance
Must be able to obtain certification as a Technical Expert by the German Government under the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process
AS degree plus 7 years of related experience within the last eight years.
DoD 8570.01 IAT level II certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+)
Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) to maintain coalition and partner nation COP data feeds
Knowledge of US Mission Command Systems (MCS), and NATO Functional Area Services (FAS) applications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or related discipline
Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Linux+ or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent
Strong Unix skills
Operational experience with GCCS COP functionality and applications (ICSF, Agile Client, etc.) with emphasis on communications configuration, track data flow and synchronization of the CIP/COP
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends.
