We now have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced MES Associated Business Systems Consultant to join our team.

Working from one of our plants in Sligo, Dublin or Cork, as our new MES Associated Business Systems Consultant, you will act as the default point of contact for Business Technology Systems (BTS) brokering contracts between BTS and the business to resolve client and BTS relationship issues. You will manage and provide expert advice on the selection, design, justification, implementation, and business use of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) use across the group.

In your new role, you will:

  • Develop knowledge of company MES platform to plan and manage the execution of MES recipe and worksheet deployments
  • Identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and make recommendations, typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing technology components
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements; perform data and process modelling; manage change; and lead, coordinate / perform testing, verification, and validation of requirements
  • Manage MES Recipe authors
  • Elicit and communicate the organization’s business strategy working directly with the business unit management to understand specific processes and needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
  • Identify current and emerging business needs and evaluate alternative technology solutions using standard information systems methodologies and best practices
  • Plan recipe and worksheet deployment projects, lead recipe and worksheet authors and develop recipes and worksheets
  • Develop technology strategies that meet the requirements of the business while identifying the benefits of alternative strategies
  • Ensure compliance between business strategy and technology direction
  • Conduct training. Identify process disconnects and translate them into improvement opportunities with cost savings or avoidance, or productivity improvements
  • Manage relationships between clients and BTOs to assure effective communication between groups
  • Broker services within BTS community on behalf of customers; coordinates system solutions

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline preferred.
  • 7+ year of experience in manufacturing execution technology. POMSnet recipe and worksheet authoring preferred.
  • Experience business process mapping, generating estimates, and leading projects.Experience validating MES recipes
