For our Design Center team, we are currently looking for a

                                               Systems Engineer eMobility (Inverter)

Overview of the Role:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the most challenging technical projects in a self-directed manner, performing challenging assignments with minimal guidance, understanding the business impact of your decisions, and mentoring other engineers.
Global project lead for eMobility Power inverter products, responsible for processing of inquiries, scoping programs, and defining engineering resources necessary.
You are knowledgeable in hybrid and electric vehicle systems, and work with customers to provide innovative and valuable system, subsystem, and component level solutions to their vehicle challenges.
Develop, negotiate, and manage specifications and product requirements based on OEM and Flex design team input, including Bill of Materials ownership, product cost, and program budget
Possess proficiency with product-performance tests, you have skills/knowledge in application & integration engineering. You will lead engineering DFMEA, DVP&R, and PVP&R development and test activities at the component, subsystem, system, and vehicle levels.
Problem solve issues at OEM Engineering locations / plants, end users, and suppliers for production and new product developments in a timely way; using root-cause analysis and proposing interim and permanent solutions. Develop working relationships with comparable levels of OEM engineering staff and other associated areas within the OEM.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Holistic technical support for inverter
  • Responsible for management of all technical and program management activities
  • Technical guidance and coordination of internal teams on various topics
  • Creation of technical offers and evaluation of customer requirements;
  • You are the expert for the product and the contact person for customers.
  • Preparing roadmap, market analyses and customer informations
  • Product improvements, cost reductions, technology transfer;
  • Supporting definition of test programs, creation of test plans, evaluation of the tests;
  • Creation of the customer documentation during the offer phase and preparing customer presentation
  • Supporting and driving the complete bidding phase
  • Examination of new technologies for applicability and evaluation of the benefit for the company
  • Driving active know how developing

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • 8+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Fluent German & English both in written and spoken form
  • Experience with eMobility and Inverter  
  • Ability to Travel is Required - Up to 10% International and Domestic travel may be required
  • Automotive experience
