JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking an experienced Systems Engineer SETA for a position located in Australia. The successful applicant must provide technical expertise, continuity of effort and value-added judgment to advise senior customer leadership on program activities. An understanding of project life cycle is required.



If the successful candidate is located in CONUS, relocation to the Site will be approximately 4 months after completing Government Customer requirements. Relocation assistance is provided as well as housing allowance, cost of living and other allowances for the duration of the tour.




Responsibilities include:



  • Provide engineering technical expertise for several complex real-time high speed data processing systems

  • Responsible for requirements review, concept of operation review, participation in preliminary and critical design reviews and contributing to various installation working groups

  • Responsible for witnessing tests and shepherding new systems into the facility and ensuring adherence to facility standards

  • General tasks include providing technical assistance for fact finding, studies, action item responses, long term system planning and documentation review

  • Produce technical documents, reports and presentations for customers




Qualifications

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

US Citizenship is required along with a TS/SCI with Poly clearance

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and  three (3)( years or more experience ;

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience supporting 24/7 operational environments
  • Successful Project Management and/or Systems Engineering experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently on multiple tasks and be a self-starter
  • Possess the technical breadth of knowledge to identify and explain complex issues and provide recommendations on a broad range of operational, technical, programmatic, training and system installation issues
  • Able to support minimal business travel (less than 5%)
  • Able to occasionally work after normal duty hours (evenings/weekends) to support high priority activities

 Desired Skills: 

  • Familiar with Customer processes, policies and standards
  • Familiar with infrastructure and facility interfaces
  • Knowledge of enterprise tools (e.g. RFC review, TIER Actions, DR Tracking, POAMs, etc.
  • Familiarity with CIP/SAP Procurement processes and Corporate Product Lists (CPLs)
  • Prior experience with missions, operational systems and Customer organizations is strongly preferred
  • Preference given to relevant experience supporting the Intelligence community and the customer
