In your role as Security System Engineer you will partner with our Virtual Sales Account Managers in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing Cisco product solutions. You will design solutions by having direct account and partner responsibilities for selected accounts in an assigned geography. You will participate as a specialist on assigned Virtual Teams and provide consultative support other Systems Engineers. As part of this role, you will engage in the following;

  • You will serve as a Security Evangelist and Innovator for the internal teams, the Partner teams and our customer/Prospect base
  • You will keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions and technologies and provide the team with updates on your area of expertise
  • You'll drive product roadmaps and alignment between the customer and relevant business entities
  • You will provide specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for account opportunities.
  • You'll perform both high-level as well as in-depth technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects illustrating the value Cisco Security Architectures brings to our customers and partners

Who You Are

We look for change-makers able to work in a complex environment, constantly improving things for communities and enterprises by designing technical solutions. You are a clear example of collaboration and put phenomenal importance on interpersonal relationships.

  • You have 2-5 years relevant experience
  • You have specialized Security experience/knowledge including Network Security (Firewalls/NGIPS) and an understanding of the Security Threat Landscape
  • You are dynamite at utilizing various Open Source Security tools such as Snort, Bro, Security Onion, etc.
  • You enjoy crafting presentations and collaborating with colleagues
  • You're a highly motivated self-starter who does not need day-to-day management
  • You hold a BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent

Desired Skills

  • You have experience working in a Virtual environment utilizing various communication methods and products to connect with customers
  • You boast meaningful Industry certifications including Cisco CCIE/CCNP, CISSP, GIAC, etc. a plus
  • Your Pre-sales experience is major bonus
  • You are passionate about solving customer issues and promoting the Cisco brand
