We are currently looking for a highly motivated and capable individual in Sydney to provide advanced technical services to our customer base across Australia and New Zealand. This is a highly varied role, across multiple technologies, with unlimited scope to advance your technical knowledge and your career. As a Systems Engineer you will:


  • Solve complex technical problems across a wide variety of technologies
  • Identify recurring problems internally and externally and advise on and/or implement scalable solutions
  • Support Terminal Services and Citrix environments hosted in the cloud.
  • Provide support across a variety of public cloud platforms including Office 365, Azure and AWS
  • Install, configure and test client systems including line of business applications, security, networking, servers and workstations.
  • Occasionally deploy solutions for customers as part of the projects team.
  • Work with highly experienced Engineers and Technical Account Managers to deliver best in class technical solutions
  • Research and stay up to date with current and emerging infrastructure/network/cloud technologies in the marketplace via partner events, online webinars plus formal and on the job training.
  • Support cloud based IP Telephony solutions including BroadSoft

Requirements

  • Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, Infrastructure Virtualisation, Office 365, routing and switching, scripting (VB/Powershell)
  • A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall.
  • Experience deploying and supporting cloud based backup systems and software.
  • Experience supporting IP Telephony systems
  • Familiarity with ITIL and customer service principles would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with a great phone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills.
  • Experience working with an IT outsourcer or Managed Service Provider.
  • Experience with ConnectWise or other ticketing systems, Automate (LabTech), and/or Solarwinds Orion.
  • Must have a car and drivers licence.
