ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Feed Manager, the Control Systems Manager will have primary responsibility for the ongoing management of the Control Systems Engineering team in providing technical support for our feed barges including feed systems and all software relating to the barges. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of software automation technology for our Control Room.
Key duties will include, but are not limited to, managing and overseeing: design and development of software applications based on given requirements and specifications for feed maintenance systems; review, repair and redesign of automation software as required; user manuals and software management plans; compilation of data sets and building data tools and analytics; and design and implementation of internal process improvements. You will also work closely with key stakeholders including the Control Room and Feed Manager.

Formal qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline, and significant relevant experience of a minimum of 5 years is essential. Experience developing SCADA systems and programming PLCs is also essential, as is a current driver’s licence.
You will have well-developed communication skills and the ability to build robust and meaningful relationships with stakeholders and strong leadership skills. You will possess strong organisational, analysis, and presentation skills and have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Experience with software programming, feed systems and maintenance is desirable. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
