Within the Business Line Radio Frequency Processing (BL RFP), we are looking for an experienced Radar System Validation Engineer to join our System & Applications team. Primary responsibility is validation of NXP’s next generation radar chips in NXP’s Center of Excellence for Radar Systems located in Toulouse, FRANCE.

Your Responsibilities

  • Validate next generation 77GHz Radar chips in system
  • Conduct 77GHz system measurements using lab equipment to assess system and chip performance
  • Define and develop system validation benches
  • Define and execute system validation plans in coordination with cross functional teams

Required Education & Experience

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in validation of GHz products
  • Practical experience in relevant fields such as high-GHz system applications in automotive, industrial or consumer applications
  • Experience in Radar system measurements and good knowledge of corresponding tools
  • Experience with process and documentation requirements of AEC-Q100 qualification and ISO-26262 / IEC-61508 functional safety standards
  • Experience with RF test methods (scalar and vectorial) up to 120 GHz
  • Experience with lab automation and related tools

  • Proven ability to collaborate across organizational and geographical boundaries
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Self-driven and able to prioritize work based on output and business impact 
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, fast paced high tech environment
  • Proven ability to make timely decision in the face of incomplete information, managing risks and setting priorities driven by business impact
