As the Combat System Integrator for the Future Submarine and an industry partner to the Hunter Class Future Frigate Combat System program, we are pleased to invite applications from Systems Engineers to work with us on these innovative and technically advanced programs.

About the opportunities
We are growing our Systems Engineering team based in Mawson Lakes, South Australia and offering several roles at various levels of seniority; these are great opportunities to join our Systems Engineering community and develop your career.

Your responsibilities will include:

In terms of specific responsibilities, you may be required to:

  • Carry out and/or lead highly complex engineering assignments requiring advanced systems engineering knowledge and expertise
  • Lead a team of professional engineers, including contractors in achieving assigned project objectives and be responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance
  • Create, participate in, and take responsibility for project planning and estimating, status monitoring and reporting
  • Lead technical and program reviews at varying levels with management, customers and subcontractors
  • Support subcontractor and customer technical and program reviews as required
  • Represent the organisation in stakeholder working groups
  • Lead the development and implementation of the required systems
  • Perform trade studies, prototyping and investigations
  • Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matters and techniques to be used
  • Act as the internal and external customer advocate to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction is achieved
  • Identify, build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of enterprise
  • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems; ensure solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organisation objectives
  • Make decisions on the assessment of tools and products
  • Actively support the pursuit of new business and participate in proposal responses
  • Lead Mandated System Reviews (MSRs), as required
  • Coach and mentor staff to develop their skills and capabilities, enabling value add to the business

About you:

To be successful in these roles, you will have:

  • C4ISREW or Maritime domain experience in areas like:
  • Communications
  • Command & Control
  • Software Systems, ICT Design
  • Electronic Warfare
  • Experience in systems/subsystems engineering programs and/or proposal delivery
  • Specialist knowledge in:
  • Systems Requirements
  • Systems Design
  • Systems Integration
  • Verification and Validation
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline

 Whilst not essential, experience in Model Based Systems Engineering will be highly regarded.

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and ideally hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance.

As International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations apply, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
