Overview of job
The overall objective for the Talent Acquisition Manager is to plan and implement the most authentic and integrated recruitment strategy for the GroupM agencies in China. To leverage digital and social recruitment technology and data to generate an effective and consistent result in the subject of hiring at all levels in the business.

This role reports to the Head of Talent Acquisition, GroupM China

Measures of success –
In three months:

  • Built up a solid understanding of our agencies and functions, their structure and talent requirements
  • Analyze the capability of recruitment channels and the HR team
  • Become familiar with the recruitment tools and systems used at GroupM
  • Start to develop a holistic recruitment optimization project framework with an action plan on how to step-change the quality, speed and productivity.

In six months:

  • Independently led recruitment projects (optimization, campus, social recruitment…)
  • Provide operational support and bring best practice approach to the HR team
  • Establish the benchmarks for productivity reporting and program effectiveness.

In 12 months:

  • Become an expert in using our in-house technology and tools 
  • Completed a few project implementation and ongoing optimization of digital recruitment capability development, social recruitment, campus recruitment, and internal referral program and mobility program etc.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Work closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition to create the recruitment project strategy, in line with the business strategy and regional talent acquisition strategy; to manage, delivery and measure end-to-end projects across the group.
  • Work closely with the recruitment team and respective HR BPs across agencies and functions in project implementation and ongoing optimization of digital recruitment capability development, social recruitment, Media Master Management Trainee recruitment, and internal referral program and mobility program etc.
  • Evaluate skills and capabilities of the COE TA function and HR team, work with the Head of TA to identify areas of improvement and solutions about recruitment projects.
  • Provide operational support and bring best practice approach to talent acquisition, and establish the benchmarks for productivity reporting and program effectiveness.
  • Contribute a high level of specialized knowledge and skill to drive TA operational & process excellence including utilization of Application Tracking System – Jobvite (digital/social recruitment platform, internal job board and database) and adoption of standard work, processes, metrics, etc.
  • Oversee recruiting metrics reporting including monthly individual, department and hiring managers’ survey focused on cost, quality, delivery and experience.
  • Develop and maintain a high degree of understanding and insights of the digital market in China, competitor analysis, market trends & requirements and consistently inform and influence key internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Implement strategic approach to third-party vendor solutions including; recruitment agencies, social media, recruitment advertising, background check vendor, etc. Support to establish partnership framework for third-party relationship management and evaluation.
  • Creatively build and optimize GroupM brand & career opportunity presence on the top career channels, social communities, and internal job board, leveraging our employer brand and corporate resources.
  • Partner with key leaders & hiring managers to plan and deliver agency-focused recruiting solutions.

What you will need:

  • 7+ years’ experience working in an in-house recruiting role with track record of 3+ years’ in managing recruitment projects, especially in campus or management trainee recruitment.
