Talent Development Manager – Group

An opportunity has arisen for a Talent Development Manager to support our Group business functions. This role will report to the Head of HR – Corporate and Business Services. While likely to be initially remote working due to the current COVID-19 requirements, the base location of the role will be either our office in Kilkenny or Waterside, Dublin 24 on return to the workplace.

This role will have primary responsibility for the leadership of our award winning early career Pure Ambition Development Programme, working with internal and external stakeholders to define and execute a global talent strategy for this early career cohort. You will draw on strong commercial, talent development and relationship management expertise to work across our business units, markets and regions to ensure alignment between the programme outcomes and business growth.

In addition, this role will support talent development planning and programme delivery for our business functions at Group.

Key deliverables of the role

Pure Ambition Program

  • Develop a talent strategy for the Pure Ambition program that meets the current and future needs of the global organisation.
  • Work closely with business unit HR teams on workforce planning needs for our markets and regions.
  • In collaboration with in-market colleagues, build strong relationships with external partners: schools, colleges, universities, graduate associations and other external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Talent Attraction teams to ensure planning and operational execution of appropriate talent attraction and selection methods and pipelining of graduate and broader student talent.
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies where appropriate to design and deliver engaging and creative online and print collateral marketing the Glanbia employment proposition.
  • Lead on the design and delivery of high quality learning, on-the-job experiences, rotations, coaching and mentoring as part of the Pure Ambition program.
  • Manage the workforce planning and international rotations process for early career talent with our business units.
  • Partner with business units to agree specific program deliverables aligned to business priorities and delivered locally.

In addition

  • Working closely with Group Centres of Excellence, identify and execute on performance management, talent and succession planning, leadership and career development and D&I programmes within Group functions.
  • Partner with Group leaders on strategic development planning and delivery of bespoke programme design and delivery.
  • Support on the design of career pathways and associated learning paths for our Group functions.
  • Provide insight on trends relating to early career talent, talent development and engagement and performance management.

What background and experience are we looking for?

Qualifications

  • Minimum of degree level in a relevant discipline, e.g., Business/Marketing/HR. Post-graduate or other professional qualification desirable.
  • Licensed in relevant psychometric tools to support assessment and development initiatives.

Skills and Experience

  • Ideally, you have worked in a similar role in a multi-national/global organisation on the design and execution of strategic talent programmes and have excellent knowledge of development/talent management frameworks, particularly with the early careers market.
  • Experience of managing and delivering global projects and/or campaigns including management of governance and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience of partnering at all levels in the business, constructively challenging business decisions through commercial savvy.
  • Managing multiple stakeholder interests and third party relationships in a talent development context.
