To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Specialist to join our team on a full-time fixed term contract until 30 December 2022. Reporting to the Tax and Treasury Manager, this role will ensure that all internal and external corporate tax compliance activities and ancillary financial accounting tasks for both Australia and New Zealand are completed in a timely manner. This role will also see you provide taxation advice to the business and support preventative action plans from the assessment of potential business risks. Key Accountabilities: Manage day to day tax activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards Meet the company’s tax responsibilities across Australia and New Zealand, including all required returns, conducting of internal tax reviews, and implementation of new legislation. This will also involve validation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and taxation information Monitor the Australian and New Zealand consolidated tax groups, to aid with the implementation of any planning initiatives Manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors Proactively review current processes for system and process productivity improvements, implementing changes as required Qualifications/Requirements Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Fully qualified CA or CPA with 5+ years of commercial/chartered experience within a large-scale international company Experience with all tax requirements, tax return preparation for medium to large corporates, legislative interpretation and implementation, and tax accounting Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred, HFM experience beneficial) Deadline-focused with great attention to detail, prioritisation, planning, and organisation Excellent communication skills with a high analytical ability What we can offer you: Flexibility with work hours and work location Retail and service discounts through our online programs Health initiatives through our Health and Wellness programs Personal and professional growth opportunities through Learning Offerings online We are committed to recruiting, training and retaining high quality people.
