See qualification for more details.As a TCAD Software Research Engineer/Scientist your responsibilities are dependent on the subgroup and will include but not be limited to:Applications. Creating software simulation flows, developing physical models, and analyzing the fundamental device and process issues encountered in cutting-edge technology development. Working on a team running device simulation, circuit simulation, and process simulation to deliver software capabilities, calibrate models, perform design-technology co-optimization (DTCO), and invent novel devices and innovative processes. Areas of expertise applicable include advanced process or device physics and modeling, applications of process or device simulations to evaluate transistor flows or architectures.Device modeling. Development, calibration, and support of advanced semiconductor device simulators. Area of expertise applicable include advanced device transport, quantum effects, electronic structure, novel device and memory operation, optoelectronics, mesh generation, C++ software development, software architecture and numerical methods for device problems.Process modeling. Development, calibration, and support of advanced semiconductor process simulators. Areas of expertise applicable include Defect-coupled diffusion/activation, FEM based stress simulation, C++ software development, software architecture, Numerical methods for process simulation, solid modeling, and mesh generation.Collaboration. All positions will collaborate directly with the experimental research, process, and design teams to define experiments and present recommendations that achieve the scaling path for the logic, memory, and analog devices in advanced-node, industry-leading products.Qualifications:You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
