Overview of the Role & Responsibilities

The Team Lead is responsible for growing Avanti’s subscriber base for the Live Classes

(digital) course. His/her responsibilities include the following

  • Acquiring high quality data through various sources (lead generation)
  • Hiring and training a team of tele-sales executives
  • Motivating the sales team to perform at a high level
  • Managing the lead funnel diligently and assigning leads to the relevant tele-sales
  • executives

  • Conducting daily check-ins with each team member to guide them and motivate them
  • Ensuring rigorous follow up on key tasks by the team
  • Helping the tele-sales executives in converting leads that are proving difficult to close
  • Conceptualizing marketing campaigns along with the central marketing team to
  • improve the quality of the lead funnel

  • Maintaining relationships with paying customers to ensure positive word of mouth
  • and renewals

  • Holding the team accountable to achieving weekly/monthly sales targets
  • Requirements

    Skills Required

    • Excellent communication skills in English and the local regional language
    • High level of ownership which is required to thrive in a startup culture
    • Good team management skills
    • Good listening skills and ability to think on one’s feet to take decisions
    • A positive mindset
    • Ability to collaborate with other teams – marketing, technology, product, operations


    Qualifications

     Bachelor’s degree in any field

     At least 3 years of work experience in sales is a must

     Previous work experience in tele-sales and education sector will be looked upon

    favorably

    Compensation & Growth

     Fixed salary of Rs. 7 Lakhs per annum. Increment after 3 months based on

    performance

     Attractive performance-based incentives given as monthly payouts. High performers

    can earn 100% of their fixed salary regularly in incentives every month

    Reporting

     As this is a new business vertical for Avanti, the Team Lead will report directly to

    Avanti’s CEO

     High performing Team Leads will be encouraged to expand their teams aggressively

    so that they can build and manage a large revenue base

    Location

     The Team Lead can be based out of any location

     Some options are Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Nagpur, Pune,

    Ahmedabad, Surat etc.

     That said, we are open to hiring outside of these locations too if we believe the

    candidate has the ability as well as relevant networks needed to build the market
