Join the Advanced Health & Science team of scientists! As Advanced Health & Science, we inspire innovation by designing, creating and delivering a pipeline of concepts (engines and solutions) rooted in nutrition and science to benefit our consumers, patients and business.
Within the Immunology team of 16 persons, we are looking for our Immune Lab Research team leader, to contribute to the mid and long-term scientific strategy to support Danone Nutricia innovation products with Health benefit on the immune system of infant, consumers and patients.
Your responsibilities
- Manage a team composed of 6 senior technicians
- Conduct preclinical immunological models and deliver reliable experimental results in due time and with high quality standard
- Being in charge with own team of ISO standard immune biomarkers analyses of Danone Nutricia Research clinical studies samples
- Lead the set-up and validation of complex & predictive in vitro models to assess immune responses, including allergenicity, based on emerging technologies. Those models will be used to select nutritional ingredients and biotic candidates for food product innovations supporting the immune system of infants, consumers, and patients
- Contribution to the mid and long-term scientific strategy to support Danone Nutricia innovation products with health benefit on the immune system of infants, consumers, and patients
- Provide scientific patentable data to protect new nutrients and/or biotics combination modulating the immune system for application in Core milk such as Aptamil (Nutrilon), in Dairy product such as Actimel, and in medical nutritional products for patients including Neocate for food allergy
- Within the Immune team, to collaborate with the immune scientists on common scientific project
- Within Advanced Health & Science scientific community, especially with other teams working in the Life Science laboratory (the Gut Biology and Microbiota team and the Nutritional physiology and Functional ingredients team)
- Establish and maintain a good network with external academic & industrial immunological labs, attending scientific & technical congresses, to be updated on Immunology emerging technologies
About you
- Master degree in Immunology or PhD
- 10 + years of experience in laboratory practice for complex immunological cellular models, especially in allergic field.
- 5 + years of managerial experience
- Some experience with clinical studies would be a plus. 3R & quality experience.
- Enjoy and be creative in establishing innovative complex in vitro cellular models to mimic as close as possible the physiological condition of immune responses (in a 3R philosophy).
- Technical skills with lab quality /ISO mindset
- Looking for continuous improvement in existing tools & in vitro models
- Motivating & inspiring for the team
- Good organizer & coordinator
- Team player with a collaborative & curious mindset
