Assessing Centre Team Leader

The Role:
Reporting to the State Manager VIC/TAS, the main purpose and function of the Assessing Centre Team Leader is to execute financial control relating to the repair and  replacement of motor vehicles at the evaluation stage of a claim and facilitate settlement through repair or valuation (in the event of total loss) whilst providing our customers with a seamless, easy and excellent customer journey.
The Leader is also responsible for leading, developing and driving the assessing business via the Assessing team members who support the Laverton Assessment Centre and Non Drive functions. 
This is a 12 month secondment role based in Laverton IAC.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the daily operation of the Non-Drive Assessing Facility including leadership of the Non-Drive Shed Co-Ordinator.
  • Day to day management of the IAC drivable assessment process including leadership of the IAC assessing team members.
  • Ensuring that our people are engaged, capable, skilled and practicing Company Values.
  • Responsibility for the A&G assessing aspects of the Direct Repair Centre process as well as responsibility for maintaining a strong working relationship with local DRC management.
  • Ensuring the delivery of excellent service for our customers whilst balancing the needs of our business. This will include front line complaints management 


Knowledge and Experience:

  • Leadership experience preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills, high level of problem solving and systems thinking.
  • Ability to manage change and a high level of personal resilience.
  • Experience and knowledge of the motor repair industry.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet service delivery expectations.
  • Relevant Trade qualification.
  • Valid Driver’s licence.
