The Team

This role is a project delivery oriented position that will support the delivery of infrastructure outcomes for the Payments Services Utility. You will provide a key interface between project managers, engineers, platform technical teams and BU stakeholders to ensure projects are successfully delivered.

You will be responsible for providing specialist technical support for projects which includes coordinating the definition of functional and non-functional requirements, gathering technical inputs, documenting and analysing business needs and requirements, supporting transition of new solutions into operations and identifying opportunities for improvement in both business operations and delivery processes.

As Technical Business Analyst you will liaise with critical stakeholders, conduct complex requirements gathering sessions and offer consistent, high impact reviews within the project. You will play a critical role in monitoring project progress day to day and building relationships with your colleagues will be key to your success.

Lead the technical analysis and delivery of key strategic initiatives for Payments infrastructure.

Support the design and development of Payments infrastructure initiatives, workshop facilitation and project management activities.

Identify and proactively manage project risks, along with identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

Ensure any designs, strategy/frameworks and recommendations developed are aligned with the Strategy, Group Risk principles, policies and standards.

  • Extensive technical business analysis experience

  • Experience working within the Tech Delivery space and have strong knowledge of Network Infrastructure and Cloud hosting.

  • Ability to capture business requirements in a clear and concise manner,  to translate business requirements into functional and non-functional system requirements and keep the customer and enterprise architecture in mind when clarifying and questioning technical requirements

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with Key Stakeholders, including Program / Project Managers, Business Sponsors, Architects, Engineering Leads, Delivery Teams in both internal GTS as well as external business units.

  • Drive and workshop to capture business and technical requirements with key stakeholders ensuring accurate and appropriate strategic decisions are made.

  • Analyse and document business needs into functional processes and requirements using standard analysis methodologies and tools.

  • Identify and escalate where necessary for conflicts, issues, & risks to delivery or business processes as result of system or application changes, assist with mitigation strategies.

  • Support multiple project delivery / scrum teams to link all dots, and break down the requirements into work objectives for each team using appropriate method (e.g. backlog creation, user stories, as-built functional documentation etc.).

  • Support projects through ensuring seamless transition of new solutions into operations.

  • Provide support in tasks related to business and data analysis – both for leading other BAs as well as hands-on, including quality control/sign off for area of accountability.

  • Effectively prioritise work and deliverables according to specified timeframes.

  • Oversee technical testing activities in different phases ensuring adequate project coverage in a complex system integrated level, and apply business end-user lenses.

  • Evaluate effectiveness of solution delivery (SDLC) tools, processes & methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Ability to communicate ideas and vision effectively and with impact to business and technical teams

  • Ensure projects adhere to enterprise business requirements methods and minimum standards, including appropriate documentation and controls

  • Strong experience within the Financial Services Industry
