Methods is recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to join our new Birmingham hub on a permanent basis with approximately 80% travel.

The post holder will be Birmingham or Home-based (this role will require regular UK travel and at times need you to stay away from home).

Requirements

The post holder will:

  • Analyse and understand complex user and business needs, including where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources
  • Translate user needs into system functionality requirements
  • Track, review and manage requirements with appropriate stakeholders to maintain records of trace-ability and prioritisation
  • Negotiate with and persuade stakeholders with a balanced consultative approach to ensure that the principle of user centred design is balanced against service requirements
  • Write clear and concise user stories with clear and testable acceptance criteria
  • Map complex processes and information flows into appropriate artefacts for communication with both stakeholders and the team

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Practical experience and knowledge of Agile and Lean practices
  • Experience of working in political environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDS Guidelines
  • Experience in managing story development in tools such a as VSTS/Azure DevOps or similar
  • Ability to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills
  • Experience of working in scrum environments with team definitions of ready and done. Working at cadence and pace in a multidisciplinary teams
