Job Title: Global Technical Lead – Mitral Valve Technologies Product Segment
Creganna Medical, part of TE Connectivity is looking for an experienced and dynamic Engineering leader to join its Medical team as the Technical Lead for their Mitral Valve Business Segment. The leader will report to the Global Manager of NPD Engineering for Devices within Creganna Medical, part of TE Connectivity. Devices is one of the three Product Line Portfolios within Creganna Medical with more than $275 million in revenue. We provide components and solutions to premier OEM customers.
As the Technical Lead for their Mitral Valve Business Segment, you will play a leading role in the strategic development of the product line and all design & development engineering activity for that segment of the Devices Group within our Medical Business Unit.
This position will lead the technical strategy and provide direction to a global team of engineers and technical staff to develop innovative solutions.
Act as a technical point of contact for commercial/sales teams to position TE as a technology leader, innovator, and partner to engineering, product development, and procurement groups at industry-leading OEM customers.
Coordinate and execute on the overall project deliverables.
The role will require building strong relationships with industry-leading OEM customers.
To be successful, you will have to partner with the Product Management, PMO and Operations in executing new product deliverables.

Work closely with our Commercial and Business Development Organizations to support new business initiatives
Work closely with existing and potential customers in selling our capabilities
Apply the TE philosophy of Inclusion & Diversity in all potential recruitment and development activities.

What your background should look like:
Level 8 Engineering degree required. Preferred discipline: Mechanical, Material Science, Bio-Engineering or Chemistry.
Advanced Engineering Degree Preferred. MBA preferred.
10+ years minimum combined engineering experience with minimum 5 years in product & process development and introduction. Experience in the medical-surgical device industry would be a plus.
Proven success in Engineering leadership and proven people leader with minimum 10 years in combined direct reporting or matrix reporting leadership. Able to lead engineering excellence in the framework of a PMO driven project environment.
Proven expertise in Medical product Design and Development.
Proven expertise in the Mitral Valve anatomy, technologies available and technology requirements for minimally invasive solutions a distinct advantage.
Proven experience in leading Technical teams. Particularly beneficial is experience leading international technical teams.
Experienced of working in a multi-national - Public Company environment
International experience and personality geared toward New Product & Business Development – collaborative working & effective listening skills are critical in this role.
Clinical Expertise; Product Integration Leader; Business Development; IP Creation/Management; Catheter/Guidewire Development all beneficial.
Execution and business results focused
Team development – able to work in a matrix organisation and still drive focus while building immediate and long-term team success.
Strong DFM / DFA / Concurrent Development Experience. Familiar with Design for Six Sigma, lean principles, quality engineering practices and principles. Six Sigma Black Belt a plus.
Proficient in medical quality management systems and FDA and ISO 13485 regulatory requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong influencing and motivational skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (inside and outside of TE)
Capability to work in a fasted paced, dynamic global environment with multiple changing priorities and limited direct reports.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as project management software programs
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills
This position could require 20% travel both Domestic and International
