Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains network operations and software applications (e.g. servers, file, print, application, WEB, database, proxy, etc.), operating systems, server backup, maintenance programs, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations.
  • Administers systems and servers related to LAN and WAN (e.g. email systems, accounts, workstation ID, IP assignment, computers, security, antivirus, anti-spyware, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of services to authorized users.
  • Managing complex network security devices (e.g. firewalls, VPN concentrators). Fortinet/Cisco firewall/VPN and/or Aruba wireless controller experience highly preferred)
  • Understanding of wired and wireless 802.1X access control.
  • Understanding of voice and videoconferencing systems and related technologies.
  • Experience interfacing with Network Monitoring systems and Linux command line.
  • Experience with formal Change management policies and procedures (CAPA system)
  • Strong background in wired and wireless Ethernet networking technologies (including VLANs, Dot1x, Spanning Tree, Port Channeling, 802.11abgn, etc.) and network security concepts.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with routing protocols and related technologies, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • Excellent understanding of network applications and protocols (e.g. SSH, DNS, SMTP, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of client-based networking with systems running Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux.
  • Understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns (Wireshark).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); capable of writing basic documentation; disciplined approach to incident / problem management processes and procedures.
  • A can-do and enthusiastic attitude towards work and customers.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills for both system performance and network connectivity issues.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in information management systems) or equivalent professional experience.
  • CCNA, CCNP certification is highly desirable


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing internal IT setup for a mid-sized organization
  • Good communication skills, particularly verbal skills, both in person and over the telephone
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor or team manager
  • Sound understanding of networking and communication technology and an in-depth knowledge of server/application products.
  • Good working knowledge of ICT equipment including server computers, mobile devices, network, and communication devices.
  • Experience in CISCO network equipment, Server Virtualization, Domain Controller, Active Directory, Tools management, Communication technologies (e.g. VoIP)
  • Ability and willingness to be available for call-out outside of office hours, and ability to travel as required

Working conditions:

Hours: Standard 40 hours per week. One-hour lunch, Monday – Friday. Additional hours as needed.

Travel:  0-5%

Lifting:  0-10lbs

Other:  Willing to work in shifts as necessary.
