Technical Program Manager, Storage, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience in technical program management.
• Experience working with Engineering, Sales, Service, and Marketing teams in cloud computing or related technical fields.
  
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services.

Preferred qualifications:

• Excellent program management experience, ability to define projects and execute within timelines and with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment. Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and to budget.
• Cross-functional communication, thought leadership
  and cross-functional collaboration skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Set the vision and direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives, evaluating and providing oversight across multiple programs, identifying and mitigating systemic issues across the program portfolio, and defining program controls/governance/standards.
• Bring visibility and strengthen communication across teams, to executives, and to other key stakeholders.
• Enable execution across multiple teams and drive delivery across a portfolio of programs.
• Partner with engineering directors, product leaders and other TPM groups to align on strategy and roadmap, streamline processes, simplify execution, manage goals, release on time, and drive tooling for efficiencies.
• Lead and mentor project staff and team members. Hire a team, and help build a TPM community for GCP.
