Job Description
Scality is hiring a Technical account Project Manager (TPM) to manage one of its top Telco accounts in France. The TPM serves as a customer facing trusted technical advisor to strategic accounts for Scality. He/she reports to the Director of Technical Services for EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
Lead post-sales customer relationship from an organizational, technical, business and support aspect.Manage organization of project and service deliveries to customer, capturing requirements, and translating these into an organized & scheduled support and service delivery plan, leveraging resources from the Scality Technical Services teams.Manage & control realistic expectations on the customer/user sideEnsure proper communication, both with the customers and within ScalityWork closely with Product management and Architecture teams to propose and develop strategy to answer customer requirements and to improve Scality technologiesProvide full support to sales and pre-sales engineers in those accounts, in particular in helping detecting upsell opportunitiesUnderstand and articulate architecture driven solutions and valuePresent the Scality product during the sales process, ensuring its promotion in both technical and business terms (incl. ROI case studies), as well as the proper architecture and configuration consulting in the context of a given project. The Scality sales motion is a ‘solution’ and ‘consultative’ one, where we take pride of understanding the workflow of our customers and recommending the best storage architecture to respond to their needsQualifications
The ideal candidate must have the following knowledge and skills:
BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent8+ years experience in Enterprise technical account & Project management, infrastructure solutions architecture and/or sales engineeringFrench + English spoken/written
Technical Skills
Good understanding and prior projects involving large B2C service platforms (email is highly desired) and/or large storage infrastructure.Hand’s on knowledge of UNIX/Linux system administration in managing large scale distributed environments (minimum of 5 years)Knowledge of High Availability environment (distributed system, load balancing, cloud platforms)Prior experience on storage environments (NAS, SAN, RAID, distributed file system, object storage, Restful API, Amazon S3) is a plus.Knowledge with Web Servers, Backups, Email, Package Management, Monitoring in a large scale production environment
