Omron is a global leader in Control and Automation. We seek a skilled, energetic and self-motivated individual for the role of Technical Sales Representative in our Brisbane Sales Division. The role involves frequent travel in a geographical area of Northern Brisbane region.

As an integral member of our sales team, you will be required to maintain, develop and increase our current customer base. Your portfolio will include End users, Consultants, System integrator, Switch board builders and OEMs.

Reporting to the State Manager, QLD. You will uncover new business opportunities, liaise with key stakeholders, plan and prepare presentations to prospective clients and deliver both project and product sales.

You will also work towards achieving and exceeding your sales budgets. A major aspect of this position is building solid business relationships with your clients. Therefore excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with customers is a must for this role.

The position is ideally suited to an individual with an Electrical background and a positive attitude are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow existing relationships in an established and mature market;
  • Work well in a goal-oriented team, including participating in frequent meetings to discuss sales, new initiatives, products, and team KPIs;
  • Develop and secure business by providing 'out of the box' solutions to customers' enquiries.

Requirements

  • Proven experience and understanding of the electrical products and solutions
  • Love talking to people and understanding where you can assist
  • Ability to communicate with a range of customers at all levels
  • Ability to build relationships over time and distance
