We’re looking for an experienced, energetic Technical Sales Specialist to take Loadsensing to the next level in that region.

The Loadsensing monitoring solution includes best-in-class edge devices and LoRa-based connectivity products. We also join forces with key industry players to offer software applications and solutions which engineering service providers use to add value to end customers.

The Mission: Worldsensing is looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to support the various industries we serve in Australia and New Zealand focusing especially in mining, but also including construction, geological hazards, structural monitoring, and environmental monitoring. This role is for a high potential candidate who projects him/herself as Country Manager in the mid-term.

This is an individual contributor role based in Australia reporting to both the Regional Manager in Singapore and the company Headquarters in Barcelona.

We need your high potential sales profile to increase our current revenue by broadening your horizons and helping our local partners increase their business and find other opportunities in the market. You will do so by ensuring they retain their existing customers and helping them acquire new ones, as well as developing presales activities such as assisting in formulating the system specifications as per the customer's needs and accelerating the sales process accordingly.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities by tapping potential customers (B2B).
  • Evangelize end customers, influencers, and decision makers to generate new business for current clients.
  • Evaluating the customer's requirement regarding systems application
  • Preparing technical and commercial proposals, defining the technical solution guidelines for sales team supporting the offer process.
  • Assisting customers in maintaining the system efficiently. Analyzing technical problems in installed systems, checking its technical resolution and working condition, and fixing it if required
  • Collaborating with the Customer Success Team to provide world-class technical support
  • Troubleshooting installed systems on customer's request, resolving other engineering issues regarding systems application, conducting regular follow up on customer's activities, and monitoring the same for obtaining new sales opportunities
  • Preparing relevant records, data, and documents for product presentations, conducting training sessions for demonstrating new products and services, and be able to organize the presentation and training of product demonstration
  • Occasionally acting as Project Manager on key specific opportunities.
  • Participating in different seminars, conferences, and meetings for promoting the devised products, services and solutions.
  • Providing market intelligence for the specific area, acquiring relevant information of the key current and potential customers, partners and competitors.

Requirements

  • General business training and you have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position internationally and in the sale of services and equipment, preferably in the mining industry
  • Successful business experience in the field of sensors or/and on any of the Worldsensing sectors: Mining, Civil engineering & Construction, Oil&Gas, Environment
  • Degree in Mining, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar
  • A strong geotechnical background will be a strong advantage for this position
  • Fluent in English
  • Available to travel at least 25% of the time
  • Based in Australia and holding permits to live and work in the country
