Abbott Electrophysiology (EP) is a leader in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia with a product portfolio that covers both capital and consumables. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate Field Technical Specialist to join our expanding ANZ team. The role is based in Doncaster, and reporting to the Regional Manager, this dynamic role will require the successful applicant to be able to work closely with EP physicians in the treatment of patients with arrhythmias. With an impressive product portfolio and product pipeline you will be joining a team who are passionate about what they do and love to share their knowledge and work to develop their peers through coaching and training. The main aspects of this role include:

• To achieve EP certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to attend and support EP sessions independently
• To achieve 3D mapping certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to support 3D mapping cases independently
• Achieve sales targets and increase market share for your assigned territory through building strong relationships and providing high quality clinical service and support
• Develop strong relationships with key customers that will assist in growing your business and market share to achieve sales targets
• Develop relationships and service key customer groups, identify and utilise key customer networks
• Actively implement and execute on sales force effectiveness initiatives to help drive business growth develop sales skills, including strategic and account territory planning, customer profiles and sales training
• Utilise available sales analysis tools to assist in territory planning
• Utilise internal resources to assist servicing customers within your territory
• Manage your consignment stock
• Maintain accurate customer profiles
• Maintain up to date product knowledge and actively participate in education programs.
• Assist with product marketing and launches
• Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity
• Attend to/comply with customer service and other administrative requirements within the required timeframe
• Conduct education/training to hospital staff on products and technology
• Provide training, support and mentorship to internal staff and colleagues
• Strong ability to convert the theory into practice
• Ability to problem solve

What would make you a successful candidate for this role? 

• Good understanding of the industry process and function; able to convincingly discuss this with customers, as well as internal and external experts
• Tertiary qualifications in biomedical / engineering / medical science / human movement / business degree or related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) essential
