Waters is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to fill the role of a Informatics Support Specialist. Responsibilities will include providing support to customers on our full range of of Software Solutions acting on local and global software implementation projects. The desired candidate should be a self-starter and able to work in unison with their assigned Account Managers and Specialists perform training, providing support to customers, guidance, software troubleshooting and configuration to help drive service in the region.


  • Respond directly for the execution of corrective and preventive maintenance of Informatics solutions (TC07).
  • Implement and support Waters gold standard software solutions such as Empower 3 CDS, NuGenesis LMS, Masslynx and UNIFI.
  • Respond to Empower and NuGenesis “How to” application and workflow questions.
  • Configure Custom Fields and Reports in Empower 3 CDS.
  • Understand and execute Computer System Validation (CSV).
  • Manage and be diligent regarding recording, tracking and closing CITs (Customer Interaction Tracking) and FSRs (Field Service Reports) in a contemporaneous fashion to meet customer and Waters business needs.
  • Actively attend technical meetings providing inputs related to IT infrastructure, Relational Database and machine virtualization.
  • Open GSS tickets to escalate support issues and needs
  • Execution of customer specific training.
  • Assist sales team according to business processes needs.
  • Respond to an ISO culture environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Pharmacy or any related Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 year with lab system providing technical support/troubleshooting of scientific instrumentation (UPLC, Mass Spec, LC/MS).
  • Minimum of 3 year working with Chromatography Data System (CDS). Preferable Waters Empower 3.
  • Strong Knowledge in IT (networking, windows domain, Client/server environment, Databases...) is a must
  • Knowledge of software management and governance for highly regulated GxP environments.
  • Experience with Waters Products strongly preferred
