WSP is currently initiating a search for an experienced Senior Technician with a strong background in Concrete & Earthwork.  This position will be reporting to our clients OCOEE, FLORIDA office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Earthwork and Concrete Independent Assurance (IA) evaluations
Evaluate FDOT project-level processes for Earthwork and Concrete materials and make recommendations for improvement
Review and interpret construction contract documents for appropriate application to Earthwork and Concrete operations
Inspect Earthwork and Concrete materials in the field for compliance with construction contract documents
Provide technical support for FDOT Earthwork and Concrete operations.
Perform warranty inspections
Review the FDOT Materials Acceptance and Certification (MAC) system and pursue corrective actions with construction project personnel
Attend Earthwork and Concrete pre-operations meetings

Minimum Qualifications:
•High School graduate or equivalent
•Minimum of 7 years of construction inspection experience relevant to this role
•FDOT CTQP Concrete Field Level 1 & 2 Qualifications
•FDOT CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspector Level 1 & 2 Qualifications
•Ability to communicate engineering information effectively
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move around uneven terrain without assistance
•Valid driver's license, available to travel to various off-site locations
Preferred Qualifications:
•FDOT CTQP Concrete Batch Plant Operator Qualification
•Prior experience working on FDOT projects
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
•Candidate must be able to immediately work in the United States on a full time permanent basis.  Local candidates preferred
