Education and experience required:
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, computing, engineering or related
5+ years of professional experience
Knowledge and skills required:
Operational and administration experience with Linux or other Unix flavours
Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
An inquisitive mind, capable of understanding and identifying technology challenges
Good at collaborating, knowledge sharing and creating technical documentation
Ability to listen, pay attention to detail and understand customer technical and functional requirements.
Time management skills and ability to meet tough deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional areas which would determine the level at which the position will be offered:
Object Oriented programming (Python) experience
DevOps scripting (Bash, Python, Golang)
Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
Containers experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
Automation and Configuration Management tools (Chef)
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, VMware, or Azure etc.)
Network experience and knowledge
Understanding of application design and deployment techniques
Knowledge of CI/CD and SDLC tooling (Jenkins or other build platforms)
Knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies
Experience in Enterprise / Infrastructure related projects (HW, Storage and networking)
Able to discuss requirements with a customer to develop a high-level design or plan, then estimate the amount of effort required to deliver
