Roles and Responsibilities:
Define network solutions for multiple business demands.
Generate detailed construction artefacts - LLD brief, final splicing and termination plans, Bill of Materials, straight line diagrams and release work packages
Maintenance and operation of the Access Infrastructure (CMTS and HFC)
Participation in the 24/7 operational support of the Access network
Responsibility for operational activities with a focus on cable modems and CMTS (Docsis/Routing/Switching) and HFC network.
On-call duty and night work
Collaboration with engineering in the implementation/introduction of new products
Develop best practices for the operational operation of the Access Platform
Responsibility for technical projects
Responsibility for the operational test lab
Ensure data integrity of the documented network changes in physical /logical network inventory systems.
Network planning for reengineering activities- Node rehoming/splitting, Network ring closures.
Network planning for Cable re -routing and permanent restoration of damaged route.
Interact with multiple stakeholders including field survey prime, Project Manager, Technical contract management teams.
Skills /Competencies In-depth understanding of end-to-end telecommunication network solutions and services.
Proficient Knowledge in HFC, RFoG, XPON, SDH, DWDM, CWDM technologies
Good experience in Headend (CMTS) & HFC network
Experience with DOCSIS/cable networks
Good experience in using different telecom Physical network inventory systems for better understanding of the existing network infrastructure
Demonstrate ability to understand the technical queries from field teams and providing proper guidance
Preferred Knowledge /experience in on-field design survey, device installation, trouble shooting is a plus.
Hands-on experience on network planning/designing using any of the following tools Netinfo, ArcGIS, AND, Cablescout.
Educational Qualifications: Engineering Bachelors or masters degree level or equivalent
