Reporting to the NSW Regional Sales Manager for Reconstruction and Trauma, the Territory Manager will be responsible and accountable for business growth within the defined territory. They will use their specialised knowledge of customer requirements and the S+N reconstruction and trauma range to deliver value to accounts and overachieve sales targets. The territory covers the Northern Sydney area.
The Key Focus Areas of the Role
Ensure the annual product portfolio sales targets are achieved in assigned territory.
Develop, plan and execute the territory sales plan in collaboration with stakeholders.
Influence, coach and support the clinical support team in providing exceptional case support and training.
Participate as an active member of the state sales team across all divisions.
Ensure appropriate levels of profitability through the correct usage of company assets, pricing and product mix in territory.
Take ownership for the successful outcome of hip, knee and trauma tenders and pricing agreements in territory.
Actively monitor market and competitor trends and respond as relevant.
Ensure the execution and reporting of sales and marketing activities in territory.
Ensure the appropriate execution of the allocation requirements, territory management plans, consignment agreements, tenders/ pricing requests, special pricing, and customer profiles/ preferences.
Foster good teamwork, communication and execution across the state sales team.
Develop and maintain strong customer advocates for Smith+Nephew product portfolios in the assigned territory.
The Requirements of the Successful Candidate
Tertiary qualification in science or business related discipline
Proven experience in orthopaedics sales and/or exceptional sales experience in related medical devices will be essential
Strong selling skills and ability to offer unique perspectives
Strong understanding of orthopaedics products and industry
Good understanding of the Australian public and private healthcare system
Computer proficiency in MS Office
Ability to interpret financial and clinical data
Ability to align insights to key customer priorities
Strong planning, execution and decision making skills
Professional and personal integrity
Attention to detail and committed to excellence
Desire and drive for results
