About the role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure automated testing of system changes are of a high standard. The role is in place to minimise defects, contribute to test planning strategy and risks associated with software delivery through an automated testing framework.

The overall aim of the role is to ensure a high level quality product and user experience. 

About you:

Having worked in a similar role and having a solid track record in automation testing, and ideally within the Financial Services industry the successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Have a full understanding of the Agile/Waterfall methodologies and test processes
  • Test Strategy Review and Development
  • Test planning
  • Efforts estimations
  • Defect tracking & management
  • Assess and analyse the business requirements to identify automated test scenarios/requirements to devise a test plan
  • Design and script test cases and ensure traceability to the business and technology requirements ensuring test coverage is optimised
  • Create automated test cases (current automation tools in use are Tosca, SAOPUI and Postman)
  • Create, maintain and automate test data within the current Test Framework
  • Ability to design and implement test modules and test case scripts
  • Implementing improvements to the existing test framework and coverage
  • Keeping pace with new features on the test automation suite
  • Execution of automated test scripts of an approved test plan
  • Analysing the test results
  • Ensure test results are properly recorded
  • Provide test status updates and escalate any variations in time
  • Compile results into a test summary report and acquire sign off
  • Generating reports to communicate test coverage, results and project risk  
  • Exposure to Continuous Testing and Continuous Delivery within the DevOps context preferable.
