Position Title:      Sales Planning Assistant



Business Unit:     Writing



Location:             Belgrano, Bs. As., Argentina



Reports to:          Sales Planning Manager





As the Sales Planning Assistant you will be part of the Trade Marketing team, serving the Writing BU and work collaboratively with the sales team on the development of tactics within the trade marketing plan. You will execute trade marketing programs ensuring delivery on time and budget. You also may guide agency partner work efforts. Detailed responsibilities are:





Responsibilities:





Market, Shopper, and Channel Insights




  • Identifies market, shopper, and category knowledge gaps, and works with appropriate cross-functional teams to ensure gaps are closed and insights are deployed in the marketplace.

  • Provides input into the development and execution of research / analysis that impacts our route to market. Potentially attends or participates in the research.

  • Provides guidance to sales and shopper marketing teams on stocking priorities that ladder to strategic brand and channel priorities.

  • Spends time in the field to understand the customer environment and shopper behavior.




Channel Strategy




  • Provides input in the development of the larger brand and channel/customer strategies for the Segment.

  • Helps ensure execution of these strategies by the Sales organization.

  • Helps manage alignment within and across channels to maximize growth and minimize conflict.




Channel Planning and Execution




  • Works with manager to conduct situation assessments from a channel and customer perspective using primary and secondary research / data.

  • Participates in the line review processes, in collaboration with Sales, Customer Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category Management, and Brand/Product Development.

  • Responsible for executing e-commerce strategy (influencers activations – ecommerce platforms)

  • Participates in Demand plan process, innovation and current portfolio




Product / Package:




  • Supports the modern trade channel (around 6Ps: proposition, product, pack, pricing, promo and place)

  • Supports launch plan development

  • Leads correct product certifications of the portfolio

  • Executes POS materials (Displays, POP Material)

  •  Supports Pricing and exhibition reports

  •  Implements training program focused on second sales force.

  •  Leads correct product certifications of the portfolio




Pricing and Trade Fund Guidance




  • Helps advise and validate pricing actions for the Segment.

  • Understands what trade funds or customer program spend is available or needed for programming and communicates to Finance.

  • Ensures that trade funds are being used to promote brand growth.




Brand Stewardship and Merchandising Innovation




  • Works with cross-functional team to develop innovative merchandising solutions and packaging and POP communication to win at customer’s point-of-sale, accompanied with ROI metrics.

  • Ensures new innovation and merchandising solutions comply with customer merchandising strategy and requirements.

  • Analyzes results at the channel / customer level of new product launches and merchandising initiatives. Utilize this information for recommending future projects.




Financial and Supply Chain Management




  • Helps manage customer-specific P&L’s within area of responsibility.


- Focus on net sales and GM



- Helps reviews and validate financial analysis on line review strategies, merchandising, pricing decisions, co-marketing activities, etc.




  • Tracks and maintains appropriate cost center budget elements and communicates issues

  • Provides input in S&OP process, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners to improve forecast accuracy.




Organizational Development




  • Executes and offers input on simplification of appropriate business processes to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Supports corporate strategy alignment.

  • Helps manage tactical “tools” for the Segment and Sales organization

Key Qualifications:




  • University degree or above in related discipline

  • Good experience in Trade Marketing and/or sales planning activities for the consumer goods market, coordinating across several businesses / product lines within a channel.

  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, possesses strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish required)

  • Self-motivated and ambitious

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Proven ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
