Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for monitoring and analyzing the freight spend and savings performance and identify/recommend improvement measures. Responds to inquiries from internal/external stakeholders
and customers relating to freight cost impact and basic freight cost comparison. Ensures the freight bills
will be submitted on time to finance for payment processing and reportin g to higher management for the allocation of cost per platforms.
 
      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Include the following other duties may be assigned
• Responds to internal and external customers inquiries regarding freight 
• Provides support to team for Data warehouse system knowledge  
• Ensures bills are submitted on time to finance to avoid late payments in-order not to
      the hit the allocated budget quarterly either increase/decrease 
• Verifies bills if the amount billed are correct and within the agreed contract rates 
• Identifies the correct cost center to charge/allocate the freight and enable re-class/cross-charging to other division if necessary 
• Facilitate quarterly accrual and collaborates with Finance to ensure net amount are aligned to what is budgeted 
      Analysis
• Ensures the expected output of superiors are met
• Provides cost analysis with detailed explanation and assumptions of the analysis 
• Ensures any possible charges are included during the calculation 
• Clear understanding of the assign task to analyze
  
     Reporting
• Provides monitoring of freight weekly to the superior 
• Provides cost allocations per platforms monthly to top management 
• Ensures numbers reported are correct and accurate

 


Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required

• Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Accounting or related field
• A newly graduate or with 2-3 years  experience as business analyst in the area of Transportation and Logistics
• Can interpret /analyze freight charges, identify issues and develop/implement effective solution
• With strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient in MS office applications specifically Excel and MS Access and can create formulas
• Basic mathematical skills or have accounting background, familiar with oracle environment
• Ability to deliver expected output efficiently, capable to work and learn independently
• Effective communication skills in both oral and written
• Ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills
