Today, having selected an Oracle SaaS solution, customers engage with external consulting companies to help them manage system adoption, with Oracle Consulting typically involved providing on-shore and off-shore system configuration and technical support. Once the project is complete the solution is run and supported by Oracle, as a managed subscription service.

Our Cloud customers don’t want to invest in long and expensive change and transformation programs, they want to get fast to the value of the solution by adopting standardized cloud practices and processes. As a Consulting organization belonging to Oracle, we share the same interest of keeping things simple. In addition, since Oracle runs the solutions, Oracle knows what every customer does with our solutions, therefore Oracle is in the unique and privileged position to show all new customers what the real best practices are.

Within Oracle Consulting sits the Cloud Adoption Services (CAS) team, a team comprised of experienced business Change and transformation consultants. The CAS team addresses the people side of our customers’ journey to the Cloud with the aim of enabling them to adopt, own and manage the evolution of their Cloud solution.

We are looking an experienced Finance Change and Transformation Manager to join the team to support Fusion ERP/EPM/SCM deployments in our customers across ANZ and Asia Pacific.

The type of services we deliver – but are not limited to – are: modern best practice consulting, process adoption, change planning, training planning and management, evaluation against business goals, communication of business benefits and benefit tracking.

The purpose is not to provide business process consulting and change management per se but to use those competences to focus on Oracle Cloud product adoption.

The main responsibilities will include:

Project delivery:

  • Advising Oracle customers on Modern Best Practice and helping them to adopt best practice processes, enabled by Oracle Cloud ERP/EPM/SCM

  • Working with Oracle customers to identify process and organizational impacts of the change on their business.

  • Running customer workshops and supporting customers in business transformation enabled by Oracle cloud products.

  • Working as a link between the business stakeholders and the Oracle solution configuration team, ensuring product configuration meets customer requirements.

Business development:

  • Supporting sales teams in providing input into customer proposals, including estimates and proposal write ups.

  • Development of delivery accelerators to be shared across the team.

Depending on level, it is expected that the successful candidate will spend 20-40% of time on business development and 60-80% on a customer site in a project delivery capacity.

The candidate will be based either in Australia or New Zealand but will need to travel to support projects as needed (subject to government restrictions around the Covid-19 pandemic).


The ideal candidate will have 8-12+ years of relevant experience, the majority with business consulting firms, focusing on finance change and transformation, ideally enabled by SaaS products. Knowledge of ERP/EPM/SCM products is essential, while knowledge Oracle’s ERP/EPM/SCM cloud applications will be an advantage but is not a prerequisite.

We are looking for business consultants with a strong finance change and transformation background who want to further develop their transformation skills by focusing on technology enabled change.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in finance change and transformation, ideally enabled by SaaS or system change.

  • Understanding of finance best practices.

  • Comfortable running customer workshops.

  • Understand system implementation lifecycle, with focus on business change, process adoption, training, and post go live support.

  • Proactive with a positive attitude to change.

  • Ability to learn quickly and participate in strategic consulting projects.

  • Proven attitude to work in a virtual team environment and ability to build consensus.

  • Knowledge of business applications and IT systems.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with knowledge of other languages present in the Asia Pacific region an advantage.

8-12+ years of experience relevant to this position, including 6-8 years’ consulting experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Responsible for championing successful delivery of cloud solutions portfolio through effective project leadership and thought leadership to help Oracle's global clients navigate their journey to the cloud. Manage the development and implementation of the cloud solution and partner with clients to establish an operating model for success in the maintenance of the cloud solution as well as embedding a model for continued innovation in the Cloud.

Leads mid-size, moderately complex projects with limited oversight. Responsible for gathering the data to develop a business plan in assessing the client's readiness to adopt their cloud solution. Defines approaches and priorities of Oracle Cloud solution delivery. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Conducts complex needs assessment and requirements gathering directly with clients on business impacts - people, process, technology arising as a result of Oracle Cloud solution implementation. Support the development of cross business relationships. Support the development of Oracle Cloud governance across IT and business teams. Develop assets and collateral for purposes of coaching, training, facilitating workshops for business stakeholders on own Cloud Adoption capabilities and evangelism marketing. Participates in business development activities. Identifies and manages process improvements and program enhancements throughout the lifecycle of the project delivery. Assesses the cloud adoption and value realization and provide recommendation to further deliver value for the Oracle cloud solutions.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Proactive with attitude to change. Ability to learn quickly and support the Cloud Adoption team in strategic consulting projects. Proven attitude to work in a virtual team environment. Experience using or implementing Oracle SaaS applications. Ability to communicate effectively, build rapport with team members and clients. 6-8 years relevant work experience in business and IT including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. BA/BS degree in relevant specialty (IT, Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business) preferred.
