About the role

The position of Transport Coordinator is part of the supply planning team focusing on the full Danone/Nutricia portfolio for the Dutch market: Medical nutrition, Baby nutrition, Dairy and Alpro portfolio. The supply planning team is part of supply chain team for the Dutch market together with demand planning team, customer service team, warehousing and logistic team, project management team and performance & sustainability team.

For our Dairy portfolio we are looking for a transport coordinator. The transport coordinator plays a key role in the availability of our products at the retailers in the Netherlands.

As transport coordinator you will be responsible for transport from our European factories to our local warehouse.

  • Transport requests toward control tower.

  • Follow up on transport to ensure in time deliveries

  • External contact point for control tower, carriers and forwarders via an effective working relationship;

  • Communication to internal stakeholders on the status of deliveries and risks

  • Problem solving: delays, damage, claims

  • Transport invoice validation

  • Review Performance of our carriers & discuss and monitor performance improvements

  • Analysis the transport data for fill rate per lane

  • Monitor logistic spend vs budget and flag risks and opportunities

About You

  • Min. 1 year of working experience in Supply Chain, and ideally in Transport and Logistics.

  • BSc or MSc degree in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management or similar.

  • Logistical skills (Transport and Warehousing) and strong stakeholder management skills.

  • You are an autonomous, hands on person with strong bias for action.

  • You thrive in a high demanding environment.

  • Strong organizational skills.
