Job Summary

- Candidate must have technical skills in telecommunication networks with focus in the optical and electrical transport networks including the DWDM, SONET, and TDM network infrastructures, equipment, and services.

- Have understanding of optical testing,  equipment usage, optical test application and optical measurement principles.

- Technical support to supervise sub contract team for installation, network integration and engineering services on the optical and electrical transport solution for a variety of telecommunication customers.

- Understands the customer expectation and capable to fullfill the technical qualities requirement,

- Develop the High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) for each project.

- Technical Risk Analysis in each project.

- delivery date and quality of the technical solution.

- Application Assurance solution integration, configuration and consultation

- Operations & Maintainance for the optical Transport Products

- Service Portal applications (Provisioning, Monitoring, Reporting)

- In Service network upgrade and Services migration

- Proven problem solving skills with experience and background in solving complex design, network, and circuit problems and issues.

- Knowledge and background with AC and DC power systems, fiber optic transmission and transmission systems, and electrical cabling and transmission systems.

- Experience with optical link loss budget analysis for DWDM and SONET optical links.

- Knowledge and experience with network synchronization and timing distribution.

- Knowledge and experience with telecommunications standards including Telcordia, ANSI, and ITU.

Key Responsibilities / Functions

- Technical on the optical transport in DWDM, SDH and TDM system as part of system deployment and integration.

- Thorough understanding the optical transport in DWDM, SDH and TDM equipment principles

- Prepare the network installation detail and diagram.

- Supervise Sub Contractor for network installation and stanealone testing

- Turn up, system testing, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting and operate test

- measurement to diagnose technical issues, Network migration

- Provisioning Acceptance Test (PAT)

- Ability to plan and exercise network upgrade on live system.

- Ensure requirements outlined in the product specifications are thoroughly engineered and tested for customer projects.

- Proactively identify any potential technical issues that could impact the project.

- Manage engineering documentations MOP, SOP, Engineering Plan for both internal and customer facing.

- Timely status reporting, time tracking and accurate data reporting

- Takes ownership, follow plans and execute deliveries of project solutions to meet project

- commitments especially on technical solution and delivery quality of the project.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation and database information for the DWDM, SDH, and TDM networks and circuits.

- The ability to work “on‐call” and off‐shift hours as required to support network cutover, equipment maintenance, upgrades, and service interruptions.


Legacy grade structures will continue to exist for some time until future harmonization on the existing Nokia grade structure. The job grade shown is indicative, and may be subject to change such that the final grade may be

higher or lower than shown in this requisition.

Education & Experiences:

- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication or Computer Engineering is strongly recommended

- 3+ years of Field Systems Commissioning, Network Integration or Technical Support experience

- Skill and product knowledge of the optical and electrical transport networks including the DWDM, SONET, and TDM network.

- Computer skills on using the Microsoft software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Outlook.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills
