Versent is a rapidly growing Cloud Consulting organisation, specialising in AWS. We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Singapore and have grown to over 270 people in just four years! Due to continued growth, Versent are looking for more (3+ at minimum) talented UI Engineers to join our growing family.

Our Engineers work together within a project team, focused on key project deliverables following a 'common sense' Agile to maintain consistency and team velocity.

Our engineers will be generally working on or defining modern Software Development patterns and assisting our customers deliver features to their customers. We work within a loosely defined agile MVP mindset and the goal of shipping done done software.

We have an evolving technology stack, so the key to success is an openness to learn, grow and evolve. Currently we have a team working with Angular but exploring React and Vue. Based on this, we are looking for those with experience across React and/or Vue. Don't worry, I'm not about to start a line about 5+ years experience in Vue.js, we look for capability over tenure.

Requirements

We are just looking for engineers that love to code - be it Angular/React/Vue - languages change, and you are keen to keep learning and growing.


For one of the projects the preferred framework is Vue but if have a preference for React then you would need to be comfortable to lead a reset, ie match what ever functionality has been built and move team to new framework.


  • Strong understanding of modern development practices and patterns
  • Exposure/Awareness of material design
  • Agile experience (beyond just rituals)
  • Strong ability to communicate and coordinate within the immediate development team as well as the wider community of teams
  • Strong sense of humour with loads of personality
  • Hunger to learn new things and humble to say, ‘I don’t know/understand’
  • Experience mentoring other developers (eg. pair programming)
  • Needs to be comfortable in setting direction when needed
