Job Description

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, performs all utility tasks relating to the Food & Nutrition Services Departments, in accordance with departmental and organizational goals and objectives, as well as with current laws and regulations.
+ Perform daily cleaning of filters and catchall in accordance with safety and sanitation procedures
+ Clean and sanitize garbage containers inside and outside according to department policies and procedures
+ Use cleaning and sanitizing agents according to directions and principles of safety, sanitation, and infection control
+ Maintain proper soap/sanitizing solution usage and temperatures of dish machine, pot wash, and rinse sinks
+ Wash and sanitize all service ware and pits and return to proper areas.
+ Assure order, cleanliness, and sanitation of floors, mats, sinks, dish machine, counter, walls, cafeteria tables, Food & Nutrition areas (main kitchen), cafeteria, dish room, dry storage, walk-in, freezer/refrigerator)
+ Dispose of all garbage and trash properly and as it accumulates, in accordance with sanitation policies and procedures
+ Deliver and retrieve patient/resident meal trays
+ Sort and store recycled materials in appropriate locations

Prior experience in food service/institutional setting preferred but not required, relating to sanitation maintenance
