A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced WHS Manager, to join our team based at the Perth Airport.

Reporting to the National WHS Manager, your responsibilities would include but will not be limited to:

  • Develop and implement health and safety strategies, plans and policies across the business
  • Collaborate with relevant business units to ensure the successful implementation of the safety strategies, plans, policies and training in the context of their local conditions
  • Conduct site visits, audits and inspections to coach company leaders and to ensure that the required H&S processes and standards are being adhered to
  • Establish and encourage appropriate health and safety behavioural attitudes and practices amongst personnel and contractors
  • Question and review H&S performance data for quality assurance and to assess opportunities for focus and improvements
  • Prepare reports, procedures and management plans
  • Ensures company compliance with Australian legislative requirements
  • Develop and deliver Health & Safety training
  • Manage Workers Compensation claims end to end

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • At least 5 years + experience working in a similar role
  • Formal qualifications in health & safety
  • Good knowledge and expertise in developing and managing a Safety Management System
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills with a demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles
  • Strong listening and influencing skills 
  • Experience of leading projects and delivering outcomes within set standards
  • Adaptable to change and experience with implementing change management programs
  • Formal Qualifications in Auditing and Incident Investigations
  • High level of experience in developing and delivering appropriate education and training materials across a broad range of technical matters. 
  • Demonstrated experience in designing training programs that are aligned to business needs and ensuring continual improvement of training materials and outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member who engages in behaviours that reflect the dnata catering values.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to present information in a clear logical manner, which is clear, concise and correct.
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and consult with a wide range of clients including executive, senior management and employees with regards to catering compliance training issues, acceptable standard and processes.
  • Proven experience in managing workers compensation claims, including liaising with insures and medical practitioners to ensure the best outcome for dnata and its employees
