About the role
You will be challenged and can expect a wide variety in assignments inside and outside of WordPress, which many of our sites rely on. You will be coding custom object-oriented solutions across our large portfolio of websites in collaboration with our skilled inhouse developers, QA, designers, SEO managers, site / project managers etc.
Note: We do NOT rely on page builders like Elementor, Bakery etc. or Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), as we develop our solutions natively as much as possible, to build our sites. We would require your knowledge as a skilled developer and not your knowledge in third party plugins to create WordPress products.
Your main responsibilities
The tasks vary from site to site. We run projects based on business needs, which can be of different nature, e.g. “Revamps” where a site is remodeled or upgraded to match current trends / web standards / performance requirements or migrating different websites to WordPress. It can also be implementations of site-specific functionalities whether it’s small or complex. In any way, you get to contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
PHP development following industry best practices and coding standards
Migration of websites to our proprietary suites of custom WordPress solutions
Implement highly scalable custom solutions in and around the WordPress ecosystem
Optimisation and maintenance of inhouse web products
Collaborating with project managers and product owners to formulate the best technical implementations to meet business goals
Collaborate and review code to ensure a high quality of coding best practices and standards
Assisting with the support of existing websites on WordPress to make updates or troubleshoot issues
Provide analysis of current programs which includes performance, diagnosis, and designing solutions to daily needs
Assist with testing, debugging, documentation, and overall quality assurance of projects

Requirements
Our expectations to you:
English is a must because of multicultural and worldwide spread teams
Strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems
The ability to see the big picture and identify business goals and objectives to translate through better UI/UX to accomplish client goals
Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Advanced knowledge and development experience in PHP, HTML5, CSS/SASS, ReactJS, JavaScript/ES6/AJAX, jQuery (and/or similar JS libraries), MySQL (or other database management systems)
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Authentication, and integrating with 3rd party services (JSON, XML)
Good knowledge in OOP and design patterns
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, BitBucket, etc.
Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills
Unit testing
