What You Will Do
What You Need to Be Successful
A thorough understanding of automotive system and features
5 – 9 years of experience in automotive domain, with focus on Android Framework and VHAL development.
Strong programming skills in C++ and Java/Kotlin.
Hands-on experience with Android Framework, AOSP, and AAOS
Good understanding of Android Framework internals and Android architecture.
Experience with Android system services such as ActivityManagerService (AMS), PackageManagerService (PMS), WindowManagerService (WMS), SystemUI, PowerManagerService, DisplayManagerService, AudioManager, ConnectivityManager, etc.
Strong knowledge of Binder IPC, AIDL, HIDL/AIDL, HAL/VHAL.
Good understanding of the Android boot process, init sequence, Linux/Embedded systems, Soong/Make build system, and SELinux.
Experience in debugging using ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, Perfetto, Systrace, and analyzing ANRs/crashes.
Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, CI/CD, and Agile development is preferred
Bonus Points if You Have
Expertise in Automotive Infotainment & Cockpit systems in AAOS & AOSP.
Experience in Android UI/HMI development for Automotive applications.
Hands-on with Car UI, SystemUI, HVAC, Instrument Cluster, Media UI, Navigation UI, and Vehicle Status screens.
Good knowledge of AAOS Car Framework, Car Service, Vehicle HAL (VHAL), and vehicle signal integration.
Experience with Android UI components, custom views, animations, XML layouts, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of MVVM architecture, Jetpack components, and Android UI best practices is an added advantage.
Hands-on experience with CAN trace, diagnostics and log analysis.
