Role: Senior AI Developer Tech Lead supporting large-scale technical transformation and modernization of broker-dealer systems and core technology infrastructure.

Location: Southlake, TX (Onsite 3-4 days/week; relocation available)

Compensation: $85.50/hr on W-2

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead AI-focused workflows throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Design, architect, and implement intelligent systems using AI/ML in complex financial domains
- Guide modernization from legacy to distributed cloud platforms
- Mentor junior developers and serve as a technical lead in team settings
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers and stakeholders
- Build systems impacting the retirement security of millions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 12+ years software engineering experience (Java, Spring, cloud, web services, high-volume transactions)
- 6+ years with containers and microservices in cloud environments
- 6+ years cloud deployment (CI/CD)
- 5+ years with PCF, AWS, or GCP
- 5+ years with databases (MongoDB, Aerospike, PostgreSQL)
- 2+ years hands-on AI/ML implementation and production deployment
- 2+ years experience in IT/system modernization projects
Technical Skills:
- Expertise with GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for implementation, refactoring, testing, and automation
- Experience as a Tech Lead or Team Lead, including mentoring
- Greenfield design and system architecture experience
- Knowledge of agentic workflows, spec-driven development, and prompt engineering
- Hands-on with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, PaLM)
- Understanding of broker-dealer operations
- Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with messaging technologies (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Background in Financial Services industry
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and QA Automation
- Proficiency in Visio, architectural documentation, technical specifications
- Willingness to learn and document all aspects of the tech stack
- Knowledge of Agile methodology, experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
