Senior AI Engineer (Python)

Senior AI Engineer (Python) Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract (Strong Long-Term Potential) Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid 3 days onsite) Stelfox is partnering with a leading organisation in Dublin that is investing heavily in next-generation AI capabilities. We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer (Python) to help design, build, and scale enterprise-grade AI solutions that deliver real business impact. The Role As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a key role in developing intelligent systems powered by large language models, retrieval architectures, and agentic workflows. You will be responsible for designing reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly with enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy production-grade Generative AI applications using Python Build and optimise Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions across structured and unstructured data sources Develop agent-based workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or similar technologies Implement robust context management and orchestration strategies for complex AI workflows Integrate AI services with enterprise platforms through APIs and event-driven architectures Improve system reliability, scalability, observability, and performance Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality AI solutions Contribute to the evolution of AI engineering standards, best practices, and design patterns Required Experience 5+ years' software engineering experience with strong Python development skills Commercial experience building Generative AI or LLM-powered applications Strong understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval strategies Experience working with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar technologies Knowledge of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and resilient application design Experience building and consuming REST APIs Strong problem-solving and communication skills Nice to Have Experience with vector databases and knowledge graphs Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Knowledge of NoSQL and relational database technologies Exposure to event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and asynchronous processing If you are interested in this role, click 'apply' to send an updated copy of your CV to Honey Rathore or email for more details.
