Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Algorithm Engineer Intern to join our CT imaging and post-processing software team. The intern will participate in the development, optimization, and validation of medical image processing algorithms, supporting advanced clinical applications such as quantitative analysis, image enhancement, and intelligent analysis.

You will work closely with algorithm engineers, software developers, and testing teams to contribute to high-performance and clinically reliable imaging solutions in a regulated medical device environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and optimization of medical image processing algorithms for CT post-processing applications (e.g., segmentation, measurement, image enhancement, and quantitative analysis).
  • Assist in designing and implementing algorithm validation pipelines, including automated testing and performance evaluation.
  • Develop Python/C++ tools or scripts for algorithm verification, data processing, and workflow automation.
  • Support testing of image analysis modules, ensuring accuracy, robustness, and consistency under diverse clinical scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, QA, clinical) to analyze requirements and improve algorithm usability and performance.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including algorithm design notes, test reports, and validation summaries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor student or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields
  • Solid programming skills in at least one of the following: Python, C++, or Java.
  • Basic understanding of algorithms and data structures; familiarity with AI/ML concepts is a plus.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas is preferred:
    • Image processing or computer vision
    • Machine learning / deep learning (e.g., CNN, LLM applications)
    • Algorithm optimization (e.g., search strategies, simulation methods)
  • Familiarity with software testing, automation, or backend development is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical imaging or scientific computing is a plus.
  • Experience in automated testing or validation of algorithms (e.g., accuracy, stability, performance).
  • Participation in competitions or research projects demonstrating algorithm design and optimization capability.
