Project Nature (T26)
- (a) Internal Cloud Infrastructure (ICI) To support the system developed as Cloud Infrastructure Architecture which based on the VMware vSphere platform to provide virtualised environments for deployment of internal application systems.
- (b) Replacement of Server Virtualisation Software To coordinate with contractor to install hypervisor into server hosts and migrate VMs from VMware to an alternative.
- (c) Hosting Site Relocation To plan and coordinate with contractor to relocate including ICI to another hosting site. To test and troubleshoot the server/ storage / related equipment and systems/facilities after relocation to resume the services timely.
Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the FEHD;
- (a) Administer and configure virtualisation server hosts, virtual machines (VMs), SAN switches, Storage systems (SAN, NFS and S3) and Backup solutions for Internal Cloud Infrastructure;
- (b) Conduct changes, provide support and monitoring for server and storage systems, perform version upgrade and apply patches to infrastructure systems/facilities;
- (c) Troubleshoot ad-hoc problem on hardware and software for production/resilient server and storage and related equipment; and
- (d) Procurement of server and storage and related equipment, software and hardware maintenance and support services.

Requirements
- Working hours: Normal office hours
- Working location: FEHD offices in Hong Kong SAR
- Language required: Cantonese and English
- On call duty: Not required
Technical Skills
- . At least 3 years' experience in Data/File Backup Technology (DFT);
- . At least 3 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF);
- . At least 3 years' experience in Storage Area Network (SAN);
- . At least 3 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT).
Non-technical Skills
- . At least 2 years' experience in site preparation (SPE);
- . At least 2 years' experience in vendor management (VMG).
- - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- - At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
