Role: Senior Android Developer (Hybrid, Sunnyvale)

Contract Duration: Through 1/31/2027

Target Rate: $70/hr (flexible)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, onsite in Sunnyvale 3x/week

Target Candidates: Ex-Walmart or large tech company experience preferred (e.g., eBay)
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement advanced features for Android apps (Java/Kotlin).
- Collaborate with product/design teams to optimize Android user experience.
- Analyze, optimize, and experiment with new Android technologies/features.
- Participate in release management and configuration for multiple environments.
- Work in agile development: analyze requirements, storyboards, and deliver iterative builds.
- Lead discovery and high-level design for medium/large projects.
- Lead small teams (3-5 engineers); mentor junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for business/production issues.
- Ensure alignment with business vision and industry trends.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (technical and non-technical).
- Use standard tools for code optimization and testing.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of native Android development (Java/Kotlin).
- Track record of shipping Android apps on Google Play Store.
- Experience as a technical lead, delivering complex projects.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- JavaScript/React Native experience.
- Server-side/API development (e.g., Node.js).
Additional Information:
- Project Focus: Building lists and registry experiences.
- Location: Sunnyvale office (hybrid, Tuesdays and Thursdays required onsite).
