The project:
Our client in the banking sector, is seeking an experienced Android Native Developer to strengthen their team.
Function description:
- Develop, maintain and enhance native Android applications using Kotlin and the traditional Android View system (XML).
- Ensure application stability through production support, incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Participate in release management, deployments and platform lifecycle activities.
- Improve application observability using monitoring and logging tools such as Kibana.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git repositories and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure, security and application teams.
- Participate in technical analysis, solution design and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply engineering best practices regarding code quality, security and documentation.
- Support Agile delivery and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- For senior profiles, provide technical leadership, mentoring and governance support.
Is this you?
Mandatory
- Proven experience developing native Android applications
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Android XML layouts
- Experience with Git (GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket)
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps
- Experience with Gradle
- Understanding of authentication and role-based access concepts
- Experience with production support, incident management and troubleshooting
- Root cause analysis and platform monitoring experience
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
- Professional English (C1)
Nice to Have
- Kibana or other observability platforms
- SonarQube
- Nexus Repository
- Figma
- Postman
- Xcode exposure
- AI-assisted development (Claude or similar)
- French and/or Dutch
- Experience in Financial Services or another regulated environment
