We have partnered with a leading energy trading business who are looking for a senior Angular developer to join their front-office technology team. You'll be embedded in a fast-moving trading environment, building and evolving the UI layer of a trade execution platform used daily by traders to monitor positions, analyse market data, and execute strategies across various commodities markets.

The platform is Angular-first, modern stack — you'll be working with NgRx Signals, real-time data via WebSockets/SignalR, and complex data visualisations (heatmaps, dashboards, time-series charts). This isn't a greenfield project — it's production-grade software where quality, performance, and architectural clarity matter.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building and maintaining front-office dashboards for real-time market risk, pricing, and execution monitoring
  • Working with real-time data streams via WebSockets and SignalR to keep UI state in sync with live market feeds
  • Refactoring and modernising existing Angular apps to NgRx Signals and current best practices
  • Writing E2E tests with Playwright and contributing to a high-quality, PR-gated CI pipeline

What we're looking for:

  • Strong Angular (v16+), TypeScript, and RxJS — you know the framework deeply
  • Solid NgRx experience; NgRx Signals or Signals-based state management is a strong plus
  • Experience with real-time data (WebSockets, SignalR) in a production context
  • Comfortable with data-heavy UIs — grids (AgGrid), charting libraries (Highcharts or similar), complex table state
  • Exposure to energy trading, fintech, or other latency-sensitive, data-intensive front-office environments is valued but not essential
  • Playwright or Cypress for E2E testing; GitHub Actions or similar CI tooling
  • Based in or able to commute to London — 3 days per week on-site required

This is a contract role, paying £700pd (INSIDE IR35) for an initial 6 months, with a high likelihood of multiple extensions.
