We are seeking an experienced Product Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting critical digital experiences for our client.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a front-end-focused full-stack engineer with strong Angular and TypeScript expertise who can also contribute to Java/Spring Boot backend development. You will work on a mature, enterprise-scale platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document high-quality software solutions following enterprise engineering standards.
- Build and enhance Angular-based user experiences supporting search, availability, and booking functionality.
- Develop reusable components, libraries, and solutions with impact across product teams.
- Work with Java and Spring/Spring Boot to support APIs and backend functionality.
- Deliver incremental user stories and small, safe releases within a mature enterprise application.
- Implement new product features, UI/layout changes, and evolving design requirements.
- Perform framework and version upgrades, refactoring, and modernization of existing applications.
- Proactively identify and reduce technical debt, duplication, integration complexity, and performance risks.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and conduct root-cause analysis to address systemic problems.
- Design solutions with scalability, latency, resiliency, security, and reliability in mind.
- Collaborate with product, business, engineering, security, and vendor stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for reusable components and shared solutions across teams.
- Contribute to Agile development practices and continuously improve team delivery processes.
- Explore emerging technologies and contribute to prototypes and architectural improvements when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally 5–7+ years.
- Strong experience developing large-scale production applications.
- Advanced Angular development experience; Angular 17+ preferred. The current environment is using Angular 20.
- Deep understanding of Angular architecture, patterns, and underlying concepts, beyond simply modifying existing components.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript development skills.
- Experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Full-stack development experience with a strong front-end emphasis.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with REST APIs and enterprise integrations; GraphQL is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively within a mature codebase and deliver incremental enhancements.
- Experience with performance optimization, resiliency, scalability, and reliability.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
